The Client

This commercial was made for Simba Group, a renowned conglomerate founded in 1988, with operations across the African continent. Simba Group offers a wide range of products, specifically designed to cater to African tastes, usage conditions, and environmental factors. Their expertise spans Agriculture, Alternative Energy, Backup Power Supply, Networking & Data Transmission, ICT Infrastructure, and Sales & Servicing of Commercial Vehicles. For this project, we focused on promoting one of their key offerings—Luminous Inverters and Batteries.

The Idea Behind the Concept

The Luminous TV commercial aims to highlight Nigeria’s resilience and unstoppable progress. Through the voices of everyday Nigerians—a designer, a doctor, and a father—the ad reflects the nation’s unified drive toward success, despite challenges like power cuts. The message is simple yet powerful: the dreams of Nigerians cannot be dimmed. Luminous Inverters and Batteries ensure that no matter what obstacles arise, the power to move forward remains constant.

The Magic Behind the Shoot

While the shoot was conducted in India, our team invested a significant amount of time in thorough research to ensure the commercial captured the true essence of Nigeria. From studying local lifestyles to understanding the emotional nuances of Nigerian resilience, we worked diligently to bring authenticity to every frame. The goal was to make the commercial relatable to the Nigerian audience, highlighting real-life experiences and challenges faced by everyday citizens. The result is a film that not only promotes Luminous Inverters but also resonates deeply with the Nigerian spirit of determination and progress.
